CONCEPT

GO03 epitomizes a profound connection between the public and the essence of Taos, through an invisible yet palpable bond.

The project draws inspiration from the Japanese-Chinese characters of 'GO,' signifying 'five' (五), 'pleasure' (娯), 'perceive' (悟), 'protect' (護), and 'together' (互). This deliberate choice reflects the project's ethos of fostering multifaceted connections and experiences.

Symbolism of 'GO'
By embracing the symbolic meanings of 'GO,' GO03 seeks to create an immersive experience that transcends physical boundaries and fosters a sense of unity and harmony.

Community Engagement
The installation invites the community to explore all five locations, symbolically representing Taos, through the lens of the project. Through this exploration, viewers are encouraged to (re)connect with Taos in new and meaningful ways, guided by the invisible threads of the installation.

Exploration of Taos
GO03 spans five iconic locations in Taos, including the historic Mabel Dodge Luhan House, Revolt Gallery, Millicent Rogers Museum, Gorge Bridge, and Ranchos de Taos Plaza. These sites, each with its unique significance, serve as focal points for the installation, surrounding the central location, Taos Plaza.

Cultural Significance
The chosen locations hold deep cultural and historical significance, particularly the Mabel Dodge Luhan House, renowned for its role in nurturing artistic expression and creativity. Influenced by the legacy of strong female figures and artists who have graced these spaces, GO03 serves as a tribute to this rich artistic lineage.

Community Engagement
By inviting the community to (re)connect with Taos through the installation, GO03 fosters a sense of belonging and shared heritage. It encourages viewers to explore their surroundings with fresh eyes, gaining a deeper appreciation for the cultural and artistic legacy of Taos.
