CONCEPTSHIKAKU05 emerges as an embodiment of Japanese homophones, encapsulating the essence of Square (四角), Visual (視覚), Optic Angle (視角), and Blindspot (死角) in Chinese characters. These meanings intricately influence the shape, light patterns, and interaction of the installation, creating a dynamic fusion of sensory experiences that captivate the audience.

Homophonic Influence
Rooted in the multifaceted meanings of SHIiKAKU, the installation embodies a synthesis of geometric form, visual aesthetics, and spatial perception. The homophone serves as a guiding principle, shaping the design and interaction of SHIKAKU05 to evoke a sense of intrigue and exploration.

Engagement with Sound
SHIKAKU05 invites audience engagement through its responsiveness to sound, transforming auditory stimuli into a vibrant symphony of light. Viewers are immersed in an interactive experience where sound and light converge, blurring the boundaries between observer and participant.

Spatial Dynamics
Inspired by the concepts of squareness, visual perception, optic angles, and blind spots, SHIKAKU05 explores the interplay between form, light, and space. The installation's design draws inspiration from geometric shapes and optical illusions, creating a visually captivating environment that challenges the viewer's perception.

Eyebeam Residency
Developed as part of the SHIiKAKU07 project during the Eyebeam residency in 2013, SHIKAKU05 represents a culmination of artistic experimentation and collaborative innovation. The installation's development process was characterized by a spirit of exploration and discovery, pushing the boundaries of audio-visual expression.

Reverse Gallery Showcase
SHIKAKU05 finds its platform at Reverse Gallery, offering audiences an intimate encounter with the intersection of art and technology. The installation's presence at Reverse Gallery reflects a commitment to creating immersive experiences that engage and inspire.

SHIKAKU05 stands as a testament to the transformative power of art to transcend boundaries and spark imagination. By harnessing the expressive potential of sound and light, the installation offers audiences a unique opportunity to engage with their surroundings and redefine their perception of reality.
